Nat is one of only two instructors certified by Yue Yin to teach her original movement language FoCo Technique™, which blends elements of Chinese folk and ethnic dances with Western contemporary dance. One of the initial cohort to achieve this certification. Nat has since taught masterclasses and workshops nationally and internationally, including at many YYDC workshops and intensives in New York, and independently in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Cusco and Lima, Peru. They have also worked as a stager for YYDC, having staged Yue Yin’s “A Measurable Existence” for San Francisco Danceworks, and an excerpt of “SOMEWHERE” for Springfield college.

Nat’s passion for dance education began while they were a member of Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, where they taught weekly ballet class to the professional company and Masa Dance Journey Program. They also staged KCDC repertory on the Masa students and taught workshops while on tour with KCDC in Beijing, China; Cali, Colombia; Poznán, Poland; and Atlanta, Georgia, United States. These experiences showed them how dance can be an effective tool of cross-cultural communication, a mission that they continue to embody as a FoCo Technique™ instructor.
